  I have passed their sign countless times but I can't believe I have never been here before. Well stocked store, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great views and wildlife along the way.

  Staff was very pleasant and answered questions. Directions and location are good for learning to kayak. The little one, if they listen, have a good time. Be prepared with proper attire you will get wet. Marshes also mean big bigs so spray repellant librally. Views are nice and watch out for motorcrafts as they don't always see you. Look around for the raptors. We say two sets.... Price seems reasonable . Kayaks were clean. Rental included life vests and paddles.

  By far the best option hands down for anyone in Queens looking to get out in the water. They charge the same price as everyone else but you get an actual high quality kayak and a paddle that actually has an ergonomic grip. That might sound like a personal preference but it seriously makes a huge difference in the overall experience. Great people great spot.

  Let me start by saying that I went to Empire Kayaks for the first time for just a brochure and to look. What I found out was that Gabrielle and Michael are just amazing people. They both took the time to show me and answer all the questions that I was able to drum up, I'll probably have a lot more. These people know how to run a business, they work hard for you to get you into the right kayak. They are both truly professionals. Can't wait to get back there and give them my decision. Empire has all the right accessories to fine tune your purchase. Stop by, you'll understand what I'm talking about. Have fun and be safe on the water.

  This is a great place to have so close by, it's hard to notice from Long Beach Road, a well kept secret. When you catch a nice day in the summer, this place is an awesome idea for any size group. We rented 4 kayaks at the same time.
  The staff here are all very strict about their policies but understandably so. Everyone is fitted for a life vest and given a 5 minute instruction. Once you're in the water, you are ON YOUR OWN!
